Strategy & Defence – Australian Essays

Recurring crises in global politics, the accelerating arms race, and the changing stances of Australia’s neighbours, are prompting a growing demand for more information about strategic and defence developments relating to Australia. In response, the study of strategy and defence has expanded enormously in Australia in the past decade, in the universities and the military staff colleges.
But, despite this burgeoning of interest and in contrast to the situation in most other advanced Western democracies, there is no single text or collection of reading, written from an Australian perspective and addressing issues of Australian concern, which is available for people interest in national security.
This volume is intended to fill this gap.
